Job Description

The Innovation Team is an integral part of Nissan’s digital transformation. While targeting high-quality vehicles, they work to enable the digital capabilities of the entire product value chain of both B2B and B2C. The goal is to exceed customer expectations at all contact points.

To do this, the team has established a number of key objectives: Create a positive experience for customers throughout the buying journey; increase the quality and efficiency of service delivery through digitization of the service experience; increase sales conversion through a more personalized buying journey; optimize the company’s assets through the adoption of artificial intelligence and machine learning, and enhance corporate performance through the implementation of data-driven decision making.

To this end, the team works on a wide range of activities such as data mining, business intelligence, and data analysis; mobile app development; implementing of artificial intelligence and machine learning; creating of a modern car service with the ability to remotely receive software updates; developing a system for the analysis of driver behavior; and much more.

As a senior full stack developer, you will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle which includes estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment, and support of applications developed for our clients.

You will receive a wide variety of technologies to work with, but you are expected to continuously learn new skills and technologies as the company grows and new projects are underway. You will work with our senior engineers to learn best practices and how to scale and architect solutions for high-volume traffic and load. You will be responsible for the quality assurance of all delivered code and be expected to assist less experienced engineers. You will also be responsible for assisting in the hiring and onboarding of new engineers to the team.

You will work with clients to determine their requirements, use the best design patterns for the situation, and write efficient, maintainable code to solve their problems. You will collaborate with other team members and clients to troubleshoot issues and solve problems. You will keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices and will be responsible for mentoring other developers. Because our clients come from a variety of industries, you must be adaptable and able to work in any situation.

Requirements:

• Passionate coder with 0-2 years of application development experience.
• Acceptance and attitude toward learning new technologies, Tools, and languages
• Experience in the Game engine and technology-based hardware like HoloLens, HTC, etc
• Self-starter who can work independently.
• Experience with Jira, Bitbucket, SonarQube, and Confluence a plus
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or relevant work experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills with solid knowledge of Physics and mathematics.
• Strong consulting and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with various organizations in pursuit of problem solutions.
• Knowledge of Game engines, Blockchain technology, Web and app development, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Investigate new / emerging technologies, innovations, and opportunities, increase company knowledge and gather Insight.
• Develop concepts into commercially viable product offerings that fit the current and future product portfolio by the concept stage, and development process.
• Preparation and documentation of a final New Product Development (NPD) handover package in the form of source data and design rules.
• Presentation of Technology  concepts to Innovation
• Communication with external/open innovation sources.
• Development of Proof of Principle, Proof of Concept, and Prototype models.
• Propose production test methods and Product Design Specification (PDS) improvements.
• Collaborate with other teams (Product Development, Sales, and Marketing) and suppliers to improve their knowledge and gather their needs and requirements. Work with other departments and suppliers to resolve any issues. Follow the Company’s policies and procedures and maintain documentation.
• Ensure that the company has the right knowledge and expertise to assess the commercial viability of new / emerging technologies and innovations, as well as the technical expertise to develop concept-level products. Actively seek out new / emerging technologies, innovations, and opportunities, through commercial and open innovation sources, where applicable. Communicate new / emerging technologies, innovations, and opportunities to the wider organization, where appropriate.

Students who know HTML, JavaScript, and CSS will also be considered.
