Educational Qualification:
- 10th standard having passed Mathematics and English
- The applicant should have studied the local language
Age Limit:
- Minimum 18 years
- Maximum 40 years.
Category-wise age relaxation details are provided below –
- Schedule Caste/Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST): 5 years
- Other Backward Classes (OBC): 3 years
- Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): No relaxation
- Persons with Disabilities (PwD): 10 years
- Persons with Disabilities (PwD) + OBC: 13 years
- Persons with Disabilities (PwD) + SC/ST: 15 years.
Selection Process:
For the post of Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) in the Indian Post, the applicants will be shortlisted for engagement on the basis of a system-generated merit list.
The Merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained/ conversion of Grades/Points to marks in the Secondary School Examination of 10th standard of approved Boards aggregated to percentage to the accuracy of 4 decimals. Passing all the subjects as per the respective approved board norms is mandatory.
Application Fees:
- Rs.100/-/-(Rupees one hundred only) is to be paid by the applicants for all posts notified in choice of Division.
- No fee for female applicants, SC/ST applicants, PwD applicants, and Transwomen applicants.
