Salary:
- Group A Post carries the pay scale of Rs. 56,100/- to Rs. 1,77,500/ (Level 10 of the 7th Pay Matrix).
The initial basic pay of an Assistant Commandant in the India Coast Guard will be Rs. 56,100/-. Other than basic pay, they will also be eligible for allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA), DA on TA, etc.

General Duty (GD)
|
(i) Should hold a degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks.
(ii) Mathematics and Physics as subjects up to Intermediate or class XII of 10+2+3 scheme of education or equivalent with minimum 55% marks in each subject. The candidates who have completed graduation after the diploma, are also eligible, provided they should possess an aggregate of 55% marks in the diploma with physics and mathematics in its curriculum. |
Commercial Pilot Licence (SSA)
|
(i) Should have passed 12th class or equivalent with physics and mathematics as subjects and should have scored a minimum of 55% marks in each of the subjects (i.e. Physics 55% & Mathematics 55%). The candidates who have completed diplomas are also eligible, provided they should possess an aggregate of 55% marks in the diploma with physics and mathematics in its curriculum.
(ii) Should possess current Commercial Pilot Licence issued/ validated by Director General Civil Aviation on the date of submission of application. |
Technical (Mechanical)

(i) Should hold an Engineering degree from a recognized university in naval architecture Mechanical Marine or Automotive Mechatronics or Industrial and Production or Metallurgy or Design or Aeronautical or Aerospace with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks. OR Equivalent qualification in any of the above disciplines recognized by the Institutes of the Engineers (India) as exempted from sections ‘A’ and ‘B’ and their associate membership examination (AMIE).
(ii) Mathematics and Physics as subjects up to intermediate or class XII of 10+2+3 scheme of education or equivalent with minimum 55% marks in each subject. OR Equivalent qualification in any of the above disciplines recognized by the Institutes of the Engineers (India) as exempted from sections ‘A’ and ‘B’ and their associate membership examination (AMIE).
