About PMKVY

PMKVY stands for Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana which is a skill development initiative scheme for skill recognition and standardization. The scheme was created as a skill certification and reward scheme with the goal of enabling and mobilizing a huge number of Indian youth to pursue skill training and become employable for a sustainable livelihood.

About Ministry of Railways’ Training

Under the Rail Kaushal Vikas Yojana, the Ministry of Railways is organizing a short-term training program for youth at nominated Training Centres across India. This program provides entry-level skill development training in a variety of trades, including AC Mechanic, Carpenter, CNSS (Communication Network & Surveillance System), Computer Basics, Concreting, Electrical, Electronics & Instrumentation, Fitters, Instrument Mechanic (Electrical & Electronics), Machinist, Refrigeration & AC, Technician Mechatronics, Track laying, Welding, Bar Bending, and Basics of This training will assist candidates in obtaining employment as well as becoming self-employed.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates who are 10th pass & between the ages of 18 and 35 on the date of 07 Nov 2022

Training Certification Criteria

Only those candidates can get certificate who:-

• have 75% attendance during the whole duration of training.
• has got 55% on written tests & 60% on the practical test

Selection Criteria

• The percentage of marks obtained in the tenth grade is used for the selection

Duration & Fees of Training

• The duration of training is 3 weeks
• There are no fees for registering for this training.

Important Details

• Although training will be provided at no cost, candidates must make their own arrangements for food and lodging.
• The trainee will not be paid any allowances such as daily allowance, conveyance allowance, or travel allowance.
• Candidate must provide an affidavit (notarized affidavit with a non-judicial stamp of Rs.10) stating that they will follow the Institute’s rules, discipline, and safety guidelines and will not make any claims for employment, etc.

Required Document

• Signature and photograph
• Mark sheet of matriculation
• Matriculation diploma (In case of D.O.B not mentioned on mark sheet).
• Photo identification documents such as Aadhar cards, bank passbooks, ration cards, and Pan cards are acceptable.
• Affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper worth Rs. 10/-
• Certificate of Medical Fitness- Candidates must be medically fit to participate in training. The candidate will be required to submit a fitness certificate from a registered MBBS doctor certifying that the candidate is fit to undergo training in an industrial environment and is in good physical, hearing, and mental health and is free of communicable diseases.
